Penta / Shuguang 6SN7GT Triode. Single

This Chinese-made 6SN7 is used as original equipment in several amplifiers.

Chinese glass tubular version of the WW2 metal double triode valve. Each half of the 6SN7 is electrically equal to the 6J5 triode.

The construction uses a glass pinch and although two separate electrode structures are visible through the envelope, the cathodes are internally joined together.

Designed for audio applications the shared cathode would make phase splitters a natural choice of application.

The envelope is 27 mm in diameter and excluding pin length, stands 64 mm high.
